Feb-17, 2016, according to press statement extended to African Press by Thoknaath Kok concerning the dismissal of Gen Lul Ruach Kong from the chairmanship of SSRM/A.
Thoknaath had accused his former chairman of high level corruption, negligence and mismanagement of the movement through privatization of the properties and materials suppose to be of common memebers.
The rift within SSRM/A occurs when Gen Lul Ruach was accused of stolen the money which was given to him by Malong Awan and left for Nairobi without informing the leadership of SSRM/A while leaving no single coins to his supporters and leadership.
The SSRM/A’s entire Leadership had dismissed Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang for mismanagement and misconducts in movement, said Thoknaath who also declared that their group had abandoned SSRM/A for SPLM-IG after dismissing their chairman.
“The entire leadership of SSRM/A’s is hereby informing Lou Nuer people, and South Sudanese globally that Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang is no longer our leader and we are no longer with him for the following reasons”
1: Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai is not cooperating with his movement’s leadership and he reached to the point that he commercialized the movement and monopolized all powers
2: After he failed to secure the post of Governorship, he changed his interest and have negative attitude toward his subordinates and the government of South Sudan.
3: The Office of General Chief of Staff always give Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang rations, fuel, and money but sell rations and fuel and put proceeds into his pocket without giving soldiers anything.
4: As we are speaking, he took all the money to Nairobi Kenya and left everyone empty hand without food and water
5: Brigadier Lul Ruai Koang registered two vehicles of the movement with personal name and channel all movement’s money into his account.
