March 10, 2016, Christelle Hédi is a body artist, fashion stylist and creative business consultant holding a MA in Fashion Imaging and Promotion from the University for the Creative Arts. Born and raised in Paris, she has been living in London for over 12 years with extensive international work. As a member of the British Association of Beauty Therapist (BABTAC) and of the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), Christelle is an industry insider for both the fashion and beauty industries.

Experienced in delivering African fashion imagery for commercial purposes, Christelle has also developed an outstanding portfolio spanning across different sectors. She is also a researcher on African beauty and fashion history. Her areas of investigation include scarification, tattoos, ageism and diffusion of trends among African diaspora in Europe.
Her first book: Beautifying the body in ancient Africa and today (2013), a chronological testimony acknowledging records dating back to Africa’s earliest times was launched in April 2013. Her second book Black blogosphere and afropolitanism (2015), is about black beauty, fashion and lifestyle bloggers in Europe. Published by Books of Africa.
