South sudan President Salva kiir has given his first vice president and leader of the opposition rebel movement Dr Riek Machar 48 hours to return to 5 year old Nation’s capital Juba and work on implementing the peace agreementthey signed.
In a statement read by president’s spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny, the south sudan president said the president is keen to return to the implementation of the peace plan.
The south Sudan vice president Riek Machar insists he wont return to Juba until peace keepers are deployed while the president Salva Kiir Insists there should be no peace keepers in Juba.
South Sudan returned to chaos less than 6 months after writing an agreement out of it. More than 300 people were killed in the recent violence.
