SPLM-IO Mission in United States condemned the endoresment of Taban as a FVP

To all the members and sympathizers of the SPLM-IO, in the United States of America; and around the World. Please be informed that what happened at Crown Hotel in Juba today, is illegal and baseless for several reasons.

First of all, Taban Deng Gai, is not any longer a member of the SPLM-IO; therefore,he has no any legitimacy in any form what so ever the cases is, to call for the meeting of the SPLM leadership. Taban has been removed both in his position as the member of SPLM-IO political Bureau, as well as from his membership in the Movement.
Second, some of our SPLM-IO, Ministers who have not made it to the UNMISS protected Calm, has been threatened by Taban and Ezekiel Lol, using the Government Security’s agents, to intimidate them, that resolved to the torturing of the SPLM-IO General Secretary who double as the Minister of Electricity and Dam, Hon. Dhieu Mathok Woul.

Finally, we the SPLM-IO Mission Office, the entire membership and all the supporters of the SPLM-IO, in the United States of America reiterated our unshakable supports, to the SPLM-IO, under the able leadership of H.E Dr. Riek Machar Teny, the First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, and the Commander in chief of the SPLM/SPLA-IO. We are committed to the implementation of the peace agreement, and we also renew our call for the immediate deployment of the Regional forces as per the request of the IGAD Head of States, the African Union Communique’ supported by the UN, Security Council.

In conclusion, we urge all the members of the SPLM-IO around the World not to be shaken by the defection of these two individuals, Taban and Ezekiel Lol. who are joining the Government of Salva Kiir, that carried genocide on the Nuer in Juba, massacred, Shollo, Paratit and Balanda, Equatorians, Murle and other ethnic groups in South Sudan.
