August 11, 2016 (JUBA) – A senior official of the Agwelek forces loyal to General Johnson Olony has warned members of the Agwelek and Collo community to disassociate themselves from their members who have joined the government of the newly appointed South Sudan’s First Vice President, Taban Deng Gai.
Major General Jukino Fidel Jikanyo, governor of Fashoda state under the leadership of the chairman of the opposition faction of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM-IO), said the political and military leaderships of Agwelek have remained loyal to Machar.
“I, Maj. Gen. The disassociated members, he said, include 1) Gabriel Thukoj Deng, who was appointed as minister by Taban Deng, 2) Ambrose Akwoch Ayang, 3) Jackline Joel Jago, 4) Samuel John Chol Ayiik, 5) Catherine Peter Laa, 6) William Ezekiel Kujo, 7) Athiyeb Okich Ajak, 8) Daniel Odok Deng, 9) John Odhong Adiang, 10) Paulino Obach Lual.
He said the Agwelek leadership did not send anybody to Juba to take part in the government formed by Gai.
