nuPress Statement
By Col.William Gatjiath Deng
Spokesperson for SPLA-IO

December 20, 2016, the office of the Spokesperson for SPLA-IO would like to inform the general public and the supporters of the movement that comrade Lt.Col. Simon Diet Gai, has declared his allegiance to the Sudan People Liberation Army (SPLA-IO) Comrade Diet, had previously served with the rank of Major in the military intelligence (MI) in Sudan Army Forces (SAF) and was send to retirement by the Sudan government in the year 2012 with the series officers including Lt.Gen. Bapiny Monytuil Wejang.

Moreover, in 2013, he was merged with SPLA-IG in Juba and integrated into the rank of Lt.Col. Under command of Lt. Gen. Bapiny Monytuil. He has recently defected with his gen. Bapiny Monytuil after he learned that the regime in Juba is not structured as a national government but monopolistic and tribalistic dynastical regime whose powers overtaken by Jieng Council of Elders (JCE) which is a one tribe small organization among (64) tribes of South Sudan. People in Juba are dying like dogs nobody held responsible for this rampant killing (Simon said) I personally call upon the entire people of South Sudan to unanimously think critically to push out this rotten government.

Ethnic cleansing is widely practiced by Jieng Council of Elders (JCE) by recruiting their militiamen being given rough training to target those personalities from different tribes of South Sudan who are not favoring them in their rampant corruption. We must fight this regime to death for the wellbeing of the innocent; no peace at all shall avail in the younger nation if Kiir and Taban Deng still stand tall on the chair. Comrades, I have today joined you in the movement with full heart and I need your comradeship support (Diet Gai stressed)
