Breaking News: Pagak is free, General Ochan Puot is calling upon civilians to return home

PRESS RELEASE

By Maj. Gen. James Ochan Puot,
CDR, SPLA-IO Special Brigade Two,
Rescue Mission,
Pagak-Adar State.

First and foresmost, I seize this opporrune time to extend these updates to the general public so that they rightly and appropriately are informed on the Rescue Mission of Special Brigade Two.

As you all are aware that Juba regime forces along with mercenaries have launched scorched-earth operations in the Gajaak areas of the Adar State thereby devastating the villages and ensuing onslaughts in July 2017 at the behest of fugitive Bol Ruach Rom and Nhial Batoang, Special Brigade Two had to send Rapid Force to rescue the situation.

In this light, Special Brigade Two fought with the Juba regime forces at Tayiandow on 3rd August 2017 where 145 enemy soldiers were killed at the battle field and nearly 200 wounded; those enemy forces that escaped ran as far as Damadol of Ethiopia.

On 6th August 2017, Special Brigade Two fought Juba regime forces at Maiwut where the enemy forces were flushed out of Maiwut and ran in despair to Pagak to seek mercy of Ethiopian protection; Special Brigade Two captured T-55, Wulit and Vehicle Carrier on good working conditions as well as drugs, food stuffs and other essential military supplies.

On 11th August 2017, Special Brigade Two fought Juba regime forces at WayStation of Pagak where the enemt forces were thwarted, contained and beseiged at Jekou Riversides; nearly 200 enemy forces surrendered their arms to Ethiopian Authorities in exchange for SAFE HAVENS.

Currently, the Juba regime forces are using PAGAK BRIDGE at the border of Ethiopia as Shield being the panacea to save them from hands of the SPLA-IO gallant forces.

In this regards, I issue this ULTIMATUM to the few desperate forces chilling at Jekou Riversides at Pagak Bridge to either surrender to SPLA-IO BASE or Ethiopian Authorities.

I also seize this opportunity to reassure the displaced persons languishing at Ethiopian villages to return to their homes as thier safety and that of their property is granted.

I would wish to call upon Humanitarian aid Organisations to intervene and bring relief to the people of Great Gajaak who are in dire need of humanitarian assistance as their villages and livelihoods were devastated and plundered by the Juba regime forces not sparing NGOs as well.

VIVA SPLM/A-IO!
