Salva Kiir imports more arms through Uganda As Sudan and Ethiopia engage the Torika, African Union (AU), United Nations (UN) and international community on the release from arbitrary confinement in South Africa of our one and only SPLM-SPLA (IO) Chairman and Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C), the ethnocentric regime of General Salva Kiir Mayardit has been secretly and covertly importing from Russia, through Uganda, more lethal weapons for the total destruction of South Sudan and the instability of the Region.
From one document dated Monday August 07, 2017, General Salva Kiir Mayardit and the JCE regime in Juba received on Tuesday August 29, 2017 more than 31 tons of modern AK-47 rifles, spare magazines, bayonets and other types of weapons from the Russian government, through the Republic of Uganda.
By using Uganda as a transit hub for these arms, the Juba regime has avoided the watchful eye of the United Nations (UN) and the inspection of the Regional Protection Force (RPF) at the Juba International Airport (JIA), as clearly stated in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2304 of Friday August 12, 2016.
With these and more arms still on the way through Uganda, who else in the Region, African Union (AU), United Nations (UN) and indeed international community can still doubt that it is General Salva Kiir Mayardit and the JCE regime in Juba who are pursuing the military solution, perpetuating the suffering of our people and directly threatening the security and stability of the region and beyond?
Is there still any doubting some in the Region, African Union (AU), United Nations (UN) and international community who still question the fact that General Salva Kiir Mayardit, unlike Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, our able, peaceful and visionary SPLM-SPLA (IO) Chairman and Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C), was never and will never be a man of peace?
While Kuol Manyang Juuk, General Salva Kiir Mayardit’s Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, is very busy throwing JCE war ultimatums here and there, we in the SPLM-SPLA (IO) will continue to act in self-defence, protect the innocent and defenceless civilian population from the brutalities and madness of the JCE regime in Juba, and engage regional and international actors, among others, in finding a lasting solution to the escalating conflict in South Sudan.
