February 28, 2018, The Minister of Information Michael Makuei has said that South Sudan’s economy is not booming and wish he said that the “economy is not booming rather it is improving,” says Michael Makuei.
Makuei was reacting to a question about statements made to the BBC by Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth who has insisted in several interviews that South Sudan’s “economy is booming”.
“Our economy is not booming. It is improving and we have not yet reached that stage of booming,” Makuei said.
Makuei also urged the citizens to be patient with peace negotiations saying that the talks are not a football game which ends after 90 minutes. He said the talks are a process and the government is committed until peace is achieved.
